Nina Van Toulon, a passionate activist who brought solutions to waste problems in Indonesia

“Anyone can make a difference, anyone needs to act for our planet, simply because we are in crisis”

Nina Van Toulon is a Dutch environmental activist, business owner, and social entrepreneur. Zero plastic / waste SHEro, she worked locally in Indonesia with communities to provide waste management solutions.

Nina is the founder of Eco Flores (2010), Indonesian Waste Platform (2015), and co-founder of International Waste Platform (2018), which are all co-owned networks and in line with Nina’s belief in the power of Collective Impact.

Nina has a twelve-year track record of waste program development, network-building, event management in Indonesia’s waste sector, and beach cleaning. She has been working and living in Asia – China and Indonesia – since 1987.
