Zineb Benrahmoune Idrissi, the Agroecology Champion in Morocco

Zineb Benrahmoune Idrissi

Agroecology practitioner, Zineb Benrahmoune Idrissi is a former teacher-researcher at the National Forestry School of Engineering of Morocco and a botanist ecologist specialist in the governance of Natural Resources and Protected Farmer Areas.

Zineb founded the project “Les Jardins de Zineb” on a private site of 2.5 hectares, where she has been growing trees and vegetables for 24 years.

Zineb’s garden is a permaculture center for training and applications in Morocco. Her center is certified PGS (Participatory Guarantee System) by RIAM (a network for agroecology initiatives in Morocco).

On the top, Zineb defended female causes; as such, she co-founded the Democratic Association of Moroccan Women.
